- 1/3 cup chopped, slivered almonds
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter OR margarine, softened
- 1/4 cup maraschino cherries, cut in quarters and well drained
- 1 egg slightly beaten

- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 to 4 teaspoons reserved cherry juice
