ingredients

  • 1 1/3 - 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet Fleischmann's RapidRise® Yeast
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup very warm water (120º-130º F)
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 3-4 cups shredded Italian-blend cheese
  • favorite toppings pepperoni, chicken, sausage, veggies, pineapple

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl whisk together 1 cup flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add water and oil and mix well until blended.
  4. Gradually add more flour, 1/4 cup at a time, until dough forms into a ball. (Dough will be quite sticky but with you should be able to handle it with floured hands)
  5. Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead for 4-6 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  6. Place dough in a bowl, cover tightly and allow to rise in a warm place for 10 minutes.
  7. Divide dough into four equal-size pieces and roll or pat each into a 10-inch circle.
  8. Spread pizza sauce on top of each pizza, followed by cheese, and desired toppings.
  9. Bake in preheated oven on the lowest rack for 12-15 minutes until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted. Serve warm.
