Ingredients

  • 4 to 4-1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 (4-1/2 tsp.) envelopes Fleischmann’s® RapidRise® Instant Yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon leaf thyme
  • 2 cups very warm water (120° to 130°F)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1 egg white, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon whole white sesame seed

Directions

  1. Combine 2 cups flour, cheese, parsley, undissolved yeast, salt, sugar and herbs in a large bowl. Gradually add water and olive oil. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer, scraping bowl occasionally. Stir in enough remaining flour to make a soft dough. Knead on lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 8 to 10 minutes. Cover; let rest 10 minutes.
  2. Divide dough in half; shape each into 5-inch smooth ball. Place on 2 greased baking sheets. Cover; let rise in warm, draft-free place until doubled in size, about 30 to 45 minutes.
  3. Brush with egg white; sprinkle with sesame seed. Bake at 375°F for 25 to 30 minutes or until done. Remove from sheets; cool on wire racks.
