Ingredients

Pizza Dough

  • 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2¼ teaspoons) Fleischmann’s® RapidRise® Instant Yeast
  • 1½ teaspoons sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ⅔ cup water (warmed to 120°F–130°F)
  • 3 tablespoons corn oil

For the Pizza

  • ½ cup prepared pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup mild Italian sausage, crumbled and cooked

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F
  2. Combine 1 cup of flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in the bowl of your stand mixer.
  3. Add the water and oil and mix on medium speed, using the dough hook, until fully incorporated.
  4. Add in the additional flour and mix on high speed for 4 minutes or until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  5. Allow the dough to rest for 10 minutes.
  6. Roll the dough into a 12-inch circle and place on a greased baking sheet or pizza pan.
  7. Top with the pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese and sausage.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the cheese is bubbling and the crust is browned.

Tips

Resting the dough after mixing helps relax the gluten, making the pizza dough easier to shape.
