- 1-1/3 cups warm water (100º to 110ºF)
- 2 (4-1/2 tsp.) envelopes Fleischmann's® Active Dry Yeast
- 3 to 3-1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup corn oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
This 100% whole wheat bread starts with a "sponge"- letting the water, yeast and a portion of the flour rise for up to 1-1/2 hours. This provides more flavor and will ultimately produce a lighter texture.
