Improved Packaging for Yeast and Tablet Product Lines

Fleischmann’s Yeast will be making some positive improvements to the yeast and tablet product lines’ packaging. A slow transition started in September, and the rollout of new packaging is expected to be complete by the beginning of the new year.

All dry, compressed and block yeast packaging will reflect the company’s new logo – a sunshine-rainbow swoosh over the Fleischmann’s Yeast name – which represents the company’s commitment to rising to the challenge to meet customers’ needs. Other improvements include:

  • Clear direction on temperature storage for fresh yeast products
  • Nutritional analysis contact information for all yeast products
  • English, French and Spanish

The rollout of the new yeast packaging will include two new products – Baker’s Select and Baker’s Best. Baker’s Select is a high quality, shelf stable compressed yeast that outperforms traditional baker’s yeast. Baker’s Best is a fresh yeast, specially designed for the frozen dough market.

In addition, AB Mauri Tablets will be converted from tube packaging to tamper-evident pails. (The actual tablet formulas will remain the same.) The new pails are easy-to-stack and provide moisture-barrier properties to improve shelf-life. Improved communications include:

  • Weight in pounds as well as a tablet count
  • Updated product code numbers - bakers currently using tablets in tubes can inventory them separately from the pails
  • Color-coded labels to help bakers visually identify the type of tablet
  • English, French and Spanish
